Cancelled Bookings.
Unfortunately, some people are booking and paying a deposit. This is fine except that at times it has been necessary to refund people when the trips are postponed. To stop this happening I have removed the deposit buttons and instead will call for payment by email once a trip is confirmed. Apologies to all the individuals who have paid and had their money returned.

Trip Cancelled - February Northern Flyer
Unfortunately, due to a lack of interest I have cancelled the Feb 2010, Northern Flyer. Individuals may like to consider the three trips planned for the summer instead (leaving from London).

Summer 2010
Three trips are now planned for the summer of 2010 with Railbookers, these will all be 'Hamburg Express' trips, (train from St Pancras). Details will follow, however the provisional price is £389 pp based on two people sharing, there is a single supplement of £90. Please contact us if you would like to receive an email when the details are finalised. The dates are as follows:

Although the details are to be confirmed, booking will be direct with Railbookers using a reference to their call centre. This travel organisation places all funds into a trust and does not receive any of the money until club members return to the UK. In this manner, all parties are protected. Over the next few weeks, full details of applying for these trips will be posted on the Hamburg Express page.
Please note that Railbookers have stated that these prices may seem high, compared to some of the prices noted on other websites such as seat61, but as a group we cannot take advantage of inexpensive fares as they offer no flexibility. For example, recently there has been an industrial dispute with the Belgian Rail Service; missed connections mean that flexible tickets cannot be used. As Railbookers receive no funds until after the trip is completed they take great care to ensure the client is able to complete the holiday even if this means complete re-routing.
