The Flying Dutchman
Our trip begins in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. This provides members the chance to plan their own flight to the Netherlands and back from any one of 15 UK Regional airports using national carriers or budget airlines. The airline ticket therefore, must be factored in to the total cost when considering your budget.
We take the train from the airport to Hamburg Hbf on a journey scheduled to take just over 5 hours and 24 minutes. The services provide refreshments en route.
We are met at Hamburg Hbf for our transfer to the hotel where after check in and spruce up we meet for dinner.
The following day, after breakfast, we transfer to the Exhibition where we enjoy a full day programme which includes lunch, VIP access to behind the scenes and a chance to meet the model makers. We have ample opportunity to visit the Exhibition shop. In the evening we transfer back to the hotel for dinner.
After breakfast the following morning we transfer to the Hamburg Hbf for the journey in reverse. Our trip concludes at Amsterdam Schiphol.

You may like to consider that the starting point for this trip is 1pm. In theory this gives you ample time to travel to Amsterdam avoiding flying. It is possible to travel overnight via Harwich and the Hook of Holland or take the Eurostar. We will be organising other trips where we route via Brussels and Cologne for those members who want to take the train all the way from the UK to Hamburg. However, this does not mean that you cannot decide how you get to Amsterdam Schiphol. Equally, once we return to Amsterdam you are free to make your way home any way you wish. Unfortunately, when organising group travel it is not possible to refund individuals who want to make their own way to Hamburg and omit the Amsterdam start and finish.
